    People think the Occupiers are calling for a damaging redistribution of wealth. The reality is that we are calling for a stop to it. The redistribution has been going on for a while, and it has been from the poor to the rich. It has been hapening by not increasing the lower class wages as fast as inflation.

    It is to stop facism, which is when the elite/corporation have all the influence on the goverrment.

  15. Our dollars have influence too. Tired of that corporation reaping havoc on the town and influencing the local politics? Stop shopping there and spend the money on our neighbor’s business. Tired of the big bank creating fees and foreclosing the homes of our neighbors? Pull the money out and put it elsewhere. Tired of wars and rumors of war? Resolve a conflict, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. The Revolution starts from within!

Their “peaceful, non-violent” protests become more than “inconvenient” when they infringe on the rights of the other peaceful, non-violent inhabitants of the area with their noise, trash, piss/crap, and aggressive occupation of public spaces (paid for and meant for use by all). When locals can’t pass through their own neighborhood for fear of harm by a random collection of every conceivable type inc. anarchists and bonifide loons, it’s time to pull the plug on all the “peace & non-violence”.
